Seed to Soil: A Class
A few weeks ago, I was listening to a favorite podcast (Homesteady) and was really interested in the guest, Anna from House and Home. I loved her energy and her enthusiasm—and it was fascinating to listen to someone who homesteads so differently than I have (eyes wide open!). She has so maybe an acre (if that) of land and no livestock, but she loves the garden, production and sustainable living. I LOVE THAT! So, I joined her class, Seed to Soil, as a beta tester—and am thoroughly enjoying it. Here are some things she covers:
• What is your Zone; first and last frost; what plants can you grow
• Land analysis (and different types of planting styles)
• Soil tests, crop rotation, companion planting
• Seeds (saving, quality, etc…) + hybrids, open pollinators
One really cool part that surprised me was the simple analysis of a seed packet! So much information there.
So, if you are new to gardening or need a refresher, check Anna out.
